Village of Barneveld
Welcome to the Village of Barneveld

The Village of Barneveld built this website through a cooperative grant obtained by the Northern Oneida County Council of Governments. Please stop by again.

Barneveld is a small, but beautiful and historic village located just off State Rt. 12, about 10 miles north of Utica NY, the gateway to the Adirondack Mountains.  The history of the village dates back to its settlement in 1793.  Two creeks join in the village, the Steuben Creek and the Cincinnati Creek, forming a picturesque setting.  Since 1900 only about a dozen new homes have been constructed, giving the village a distinct well-settled and richly historic atmosphere.
